This article is produced in partnership with Tushop, to celebrate the launch of Jipange, a service that allows you to automate shopping and delivery of your household essentials.
Jipange is an online shopping service by Tushop - an online store that helps you access household products directly from producers including farmers and manufacturers.
Jipange goes beyond online shopping and makes it easy for you to automate shopping and delivery of household essentials.
Through Jipange, you get a regular supply of your household essentials, such as groceries, milk, eggs, sugar, maize flour, rice, and others - based on your consumption pattern. You do not have to remember which item is running out - Jipange ensures these items are delivered like clockwork - once you have set up your Jipange schedule.
For example, you may have one weekly Jipange where milk, eggs, spinach, fruits, and other perishables are dropped at your doorstep every Tuesday (you can choose any day of the week).
For the less perishable essentials such as toiletries and cooking oil, you can have a monthly Jipange where the items are dropped every 3rd day of the month (this can change as per your preference).
Step 1: Identify the pattern you consume your household essentials, those that are weekly and those that are monthly
Step 2: Set up your Jipange depending on your needs. For example, eggs, sausages, and milk will be weekly. Sugar, tissue paper, and maize flour are monthly
Step 3: Set a delivery schedule for each Jipange. For example, the weekly basket to be delivered every Saturday, the monthly package to be dropped every 5th day of the month.
Step 4: Pre-load your wallet on Jipange at least two days before day of delivery
Step 5: Your basket is delivered to your doorstep every week or every month as per your Jipange.
Prices: Beyond the automation, the prices of the household items sold on Tushop are lower than what you find in supermarkets or open-air markets. For example, a tray of eggs is currently going for Ksh435 against Ksh600 in most supermarkets
Cost: The first Jipange is delivered at a standard fee of Ksh99 bob. All subsequent uninterrupted Jipange orders are delivered for free.
Sign-Up Bonus: By downloading Tushop through this link, you get Ksh500 on your first order which is Ksh2,500 and above.
Coverage: You can access Jipange within Nairobi and surrounding estates including Syokimau, Athi River, Ruiru, Imara Daima, Garden Estate, Parklands, and others.
Cashback rewards: The more you use Jipange, the more you get cashback rewards.
