
In July 2026, Money Market Funds (MMFs) recorded a net return of 7.58%, similar to what was recorded in June 2026.
The top five MMFs were Nabo Africa Money Market Fund (10.26%), Cytonn Money Market Fund (9.32%) and Lofty-Corban Money Market Fund (8.56%).
Enwealth Money Market Fund recorded a net return of 8.49%, and Etica Money Market Fund recorded a net return of 8.48%.
In July 2025, the net returns of dollar MMFs also increased from 4.35% to 4.43%.
Nabo Africa Money Market Fund USD recorded the highest returns at 5.90%, followed by Etica MMF USD at 5.39%
Money Market Funds (MMFs) continue to dominate Kenya’s Collective Investment Scheme (CIS) market. By the end of March 2026, MMFs had accumulated Ksh442 billion in assets under management (AUM), representing 52% of the total CIS market.
The largest MMFs by assets under management were Sanlam Allianz Money Market Fund at Ksh123 billion, followed by CIC Money Market Fund at Ksh75 billion and Old Mutual Money Market Fund at Ksh26 billion.
Absa Shilling Money Market Fund had Ksh24 billion, while Co-op Money Market Fund ranked fifth with Ksh21 billion.
