Govt Announces Paid Internships and SHA Jobs for Graduates; How to Apply

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced paid internship positions in government Ministries and State Departments.

In a notice dated Tuesday, July 29, PSC stated that it was also seeking to recruit degree holders to work in State Corporations and public universities.

The internship will run for 12 months, and the government will determine the stipend the interns will receive.

Qualifications 

1. Applicants must have a degree in any field from a recognized university.

2. Applicants must have graduated between 2018 and 2025.

3. Applicants have to be proficient in computer skills.

How to Apply  

To apply for available slots, visit the PSC job portal, accessible at www.publicservice.go.ke.

Those seeking to apply have to submit their applications by August 18, 2025.

SHA Announces 64 Job Vacancies 

On the other hand, the Social Health Authority (SHA) has announced 64 job vacancies for directors and deputy directors in various departments.

The available positions target professionals trained in legal services, corporate communications, customer experience, and internal audit, among other areas.

Applicants must have a certificate of Good Conduct from the DCI, tax compliance certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority, a clearance certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), and a clearance certificate from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC). 

A report from a Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) is also required.

Interested applicants are also required to submit a detailed curriculum vitae, copies of academic and professional certificates. Applicants are also required to write a cover letter.

How to Apply for SHA Jobs 

Applications can be submitted online on https://recruitment.sha.go.ke/or physically delivered to SHA building 10th floor, by clearly marking the position applied for on the envelope.

Applications have to be sent by  August 19, 2025 at 5 pm.
