The Nokia C31 is one of the budget smartphones manufactured by Nokia, the Finnish telco that dominated the early mobiles phones market in Kenya.
The Nokia C31 was launched in September last year and comes with an impressive 6.75 inch display screen. This makes it easy to enjoy the infotainment options including watching films on Netflix and following videos on Tiktok and YouTube.
It has a triple rear camera that is powered by Google.
The main camera has 13MP while the macro and depth cameras have 2MP each. It also has a 5-megapixel front camera for capturing selfies and making video calls
The Nokia C31 runs on Android 12, with a 4GB RAM space. This allows the Nokia C31 to offer a wide range of apps from the Google Play Store - including Facebook, Twitter, Tiktok, etc. Powered by a quad-core processor, it offers smooth multitasking and decent performance for everyday tasks.
With 64GB internal memory, you are guaranteed lots of space for your music, videos and images - without having to regularly delete your files or apps. The phone offers you the chance to expand the internal space up to 256GB through a micro SD card.

The Nokia C31 is available across various retailers in Kenya. There are also various ownership options you can choose from. If you currently do not have the full amount to make an outright cash purchase, the Nokia C32 is available through the Mogo smartphone loan.
To buy the phone through financing, you will be required to make a minimum downpayment of Ksh3,000. You will then access the phone and complete the payment by making weekly instalments of at least Ksh550 for 52 weeks.
N/B: Note you can also opt to repay in 26 or 39 weeks depending on your preference. There is also the option of an early repayment which saves you the interest, and does not attract any penalties.

You will also be required to authorise Mogo Kenya to carry out a credit status check with one of the registered Credit Reference Bureaus (CRBs) in Kenya.
Once you are pre-qualified, a Mogo representative will be in touch with you and request for the following documents:
Once these documents are received by Mogo, you will get a notification giving you a formal loan offer.
You can either sign the loan offer while collecting the phone at a Mogo branch, or you can be referred to partner stores where you will sign the loan offer as you collect your phone.
N/B: You can also visit any Mogo branch for a physical application process.
If you are in Nairobi and would prefer to have the smartphone delivered to you, this is possible with Mogo Kenya.
For the home or office delivery, you are required to pay Ksh500 upfront. This is part of the down payment amount. Once the device is delivered, you will be requested to pay the remaining down payment balance of Ksh2,500.
You will then begin making your weekly instalments until you clear the balance. After this, the device becomes fully yours.
