Govt Announces 110,000 Kazi Mtaani Jobs; How to Apply 

The government has officially opened the application portal for recruitment of 110,000 youth seeking to be enrolled in the Climate WorX programme, also known as Kazi Mtaani.

The National Steering Committee of the Climate Resilience Service Program (CRSP) announced that the recruitment would be done across all the 47 counties.

Those to be considered during the online recruitment are Kenyans aged betwee 18-35 years.

Successful applicants will be involved in rehabilitating feeder roads, upgrading pedestrian pathways, and improving drainage and sanitation systems within informal settlements. 

How to Apply

The application for the jobs is being done online through the portal - https://crsp.go.ke/.

Applicants will be required to provide details of their National ID or Maisha Card numbers, ward, village, and sublocation of residence.

"To reinforce local accountability, participants are deployed within their home villages. Verification is done jointly by NGAOs, chiefs, and village elders. Vetting also ensures the exclusion of previously suspended workers or known offenders," the National Steering Committee noted.

Payments for Work 

For the general workers, they will be paid Ksh500 per day as the supervisors get Ksh580 per day. All payments will be made through M-Pesa.

Those engaged in the programme will be engaged in shifts of 10 days.

"At its core, the programme seeks to create immediate employment opportunities for over 110,000 youth," read committee announced.

"This will rise to 200,000 youths in Phase II, with equitable quotas per county. Priority is given to young people between the ages of 18 and 35, with a 50:50 gender parity rule and 30% reserved for persons with disabilities."
