The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) officially rolled out digital logbooks on June 10, 2026, as it phases out the current paper certificates.
An eLogbook is the digital version of the traditional vehicle logbook issued by NTSA. Instead of receiving a physical document, vehicle owners can access and download their registration certificate through the NTSA portal.
The digital system is designed to reduce paperwork, improve efficiency, and make it easier for vehicle owners to verify the authenticity of ownership records.
NTSA has clarified that all logbook applications submitted on or after June 10 will be issued as digital eLogbooks, while applications lodged before that date and still under processing will continue to receive physical logbooks.

With the introduction of the eLogbooks, buyers of vehicles can now verify the authenticity of a vehicle’s ownership before completing the transaction. This ensures that buyers are protected in cases when one can use forged documents.
The verification also applies to financial institutions when a vehicle owner is applying for financing.
Here is how to verify the eLogbooks;
Step 1: Scan the QR Code
Open the eLogbook and scan the QR code using your smartphone camera or a QR code reader. This will generate a unique verification code.
Step 2: Copy the Generated Code
After scanning the QR code, copy the verification number displayed on your device.
Step 3: Verify on NTSA
Visit the NTSA service portal and click on the ‘Verify Logbook’ option. Paste the generated code into the verification field and submit it. The system will display the vehicle details, allowing you to confirm whether the eLogbook is genuine.
