KRA and NYS Announce Mass Recruitments: How to Apply

The Kenya Revenue Authority and the National Youth Service (NYS) have announced mass recruitments for professionals and interns.

In a notice published on My Gov, KRA announced that it was recruiting over 250 individuals, including graduate trainees.

Apart from 200 graduate trainees, KRA has also announced vacancies for 50 drivers and officers in Data Integration, Revenue Assurance & Fraud Analytics, Security Tools Operations, among others.

Interns will receive a monthly stipend of Ksh7,000. Undergraduate and diploma students will be paid and are subject to applicable statutory deductions.

In the managerial category, the taxman is undertaking recruitment for chief managers who will be in charge of tax base expansion, human resource planning, investigation, data engineering, customs operations, post-clearance audit, among others.

To apply for the positions, visit erecruitment.kra.go.ke/login and create an account and profile under the ‘Applicant Cockpit’. You will be required to upload relevant documents to your profile.

Afterwards, follow these steps:

  1. To view the open job postings, click on the tab ‘Employment Opportunities’ on the ‘Applicant Cockpit’ page.
  2. Under the heading ‘Job Search’, click the ‘Start’ button to view all available vacancies.
  3. Click on the job posting to display the details of the position.
  4. To apply for the position, click the ‘Apply’ button at the top of the page.
  5. Follow the instructions to complete and submit your application.
  6. Kindly note that all mandatory fields must be completed.
  7. To complete the process of application, click the ‘Send Application Now’ button after reviewing and accepting the ‘Data Privacy Statement’.

The deadline for applications for managerial jobs is September 8, 2025, before midnight.

NYS Announces Recruitment for 181 Permanent and Pensionable Teaching Jobs

Equally, NYS announced the recruitment of technical instructors and lecturers.

For the 130 technical instructors, NYS is targeting diploma holders in Accounting, Agriculture, Irrigation and Drainage Technology, Animal Health and Production, Horticulture, Farm Management, Agricultural Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy (Cosmetology), Building and Construction, Catering and Accommodation, Electrical Engineering, Entrepreneurship, Fashion Design, Food and Beverage, and ICT, among others.

The technical instructor jobs attract a salary between Ksh28,620 and Ksh37,100. Successful applicants will also get house, commuter, and leave allowances.

Kenyans with a Bachelor’s degree in Arts (Languages – French), Business Management, Arts (Secretarial Studies), Science in Entrepreneurship, Arts in Hospitality Management, Commerce (Human Resource Management), Science (Fashion and Textile Design), and Supply Chain Management were advised to apply for the lecturer jobs.

Degree holders in ICT, Mathematics and Computing, Catering, and Hotel Management are also being targeted.

The salary for the lecturers is Ksh34,420 to Ksh57,230.

"Applicants who are interested and meet the above requirements should complete the Application for Employment Form PSC.2 (Revised 2016) and submit it in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the title of the position applied for. The application should be accompanied by a detailed curriculum vitae, certified copies of academic certificates, testimonials, and a copy of the national identity card or passport," read the notice in part.

"The applications should reach the undersigned not later than September 1, 2025."

Sealed hand-delivered applications can be dropped at the Registry – National Youth Service Headquarters, Ruaraka, Thika Road, Ground Floor.

Applicants can also email their applications to: nysdhrm@gmail.com with the title of the position being applied for as the subject.
