The National Youth Service (NYS) has launched a nationwide push to recruit eligible Kenyans into its 2022 cohort.
In an advertisement in local publications on Tuesday, August 16, the service says it is looking for both male and female volunteers to join the NYS program.
The recruitment exercise which will be held throughout the country will begin on Monday, August 29, and will go through Saturday, September 3, in compliance with the qualifications outlined below.
All prospective candidates who intend to join the Kenya National Youth Service must meet the following requirements:
Orphans who match the prerequisites outlined above will receive special consideration, provided they can produce appropriate documentary verification, such as death certificates for their parents or burial permits.
Additionally, individuals with disabilities are encouraged to participate in the recruitment process in their particular sub-counties.
Any form of corruption is NOT tolerated in NYS.
An offence that can result in disqualification and/or punishment is canvassing and offering money or another kind of payment in exchange for admittance.
