The National Police Service Commission (NPSC) has announced the recruitment of 10,000 police constables across the country.
The recruitment drive will be conducted in constituencies between Friday, October 3, and Thursday, October 9, 2025.
As detailed by the Commission, the recruitment process will take place from 8 am to 5 pm at the respective centers.
"The National Police Service recruitment is free and open to all eligible and qualified candidates. Engaging in bribery or other corrupt practices with the intent to influence the recruitment process constitutes a criminal offence under section 25 of the National Police Service Commission Act.
"Any person who willfully gives to the Commission any information which is false or misleading in any material particular commits an offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding Ksh200,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years."

Applicants must be Kenyan citizens and hold a national Identity Card (ID). NPSC noted that applicants must be aged between 18 and 28
In terms of academic qualifications, the applicants must have a minimum grade of D+ in KCSE (with a minimum of D+ in English or Kiswahili)
Applicants also have to be physically and medically fit. Male applicants must also have a minimum height of 5ft 8inches. The minimum height of female applicants was set at 5ft 3inches
"The applicants should have no criminal record or pending criminal charges. Female Candidates must not be pregnant at recruitment and during the entire training period," read the notice in part.
"National Youth Service (NYS) graduates who meet minimum entry requirements are encouraged to apply."
Interested and qualified applicants are required to download and fill out the prescribed application form available on various NPSC websites: npsc.go.ke.
The form can also be obtained from the administrationpolice.go.ke, nationalpolice.go.ke, dci.go.ke, kenyapolice.go.ke and mygov.go.ke.
Forms may be obtained from the nearest Huduma Centres. Applicants may also fill and download the application using the following link (https://prs.npsc.go.ke)
The Commission also directed applicants to present themselves at the designated Recruitment Centers within their respective constituencies with original and copies of their academic and identification certificates.
The documents need to include academic certificates such as the KCSE certificate, the Kenya National Identity Card, the Birth Certificate, the NYS discharge certificate, where applicable, with a minimum rating of ‘GOOD’ in conduct
"All original documents will be returned to the applicant before leaving the recruitment centre," the Commission noted.
