
Kenya Ports Authority has announced 296 job vacancies for various positions at the government agencies, including graduate trainees.
According to a notice published on Tuesday, November 25, KPA announced it was seeking to recruit 50 artisans (plumbers, fitters, welders & fabricators, electrical, painting, carpentry & joinery/aluminium, and masonry.
The job attracts a basic salary of Ksh67,317 – Ksh85,554. The set house allowance is Ksh26,675, and a motor transport allowance of Ksh14,000.

For appointment as an artisan, a person must have:
i. KCSE or Its Equivalent.
ii. Proficiency in Computer applications.
iii. Government Trade Test III OR equivalent from a recognized institution/
iv. Proficiency in seafarer or being in possession of Discharge Book where necessary.
v. Fulfilling the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution.
vi. Age limit – 30 years and below.
KPA is also looking for technicians in mechanical, electrical, civil, and instrumentation & control engineering, among others.
The job attracts a basic salary of Ksh76,156 – Ksh108,767. The set house allowance is Ksh32,750, and a motor transport allowance of Ksh17,000.
To qualify, one must have the following qualifications
i. KCSE or its equivalent
ii. Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Civil, Permanent Ways, Building & Construction, Electrical, Electronics, and
Marine Engineering or its recognized equivalent.
iii. Proficiency in Computer applications.
iv. Fulfilling the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.

Applications are invited from qualified young graduates under the age of thirty (30) years with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in social sciences, Finance, Engineering, ICT, or any other relevant field from a recognized University.
The job attracts a basic salary ranging from Ksh76,156 to Ksh108,767. The set house allowance is Ksh32,750, and the motor transport allowance is Ksh17,000.
KPA is targeting applicants who have a minimum of a Diploma in Business Administration, Finance, Commerce, ICT, Human Resource management, or any other relevant field from a recognized institution.
The job attracts a basic salary of Ksh67,317 – Ksh85,554. The set house allowance is Ksh26,675, and a motor transport allowance of Ksh14,000.
Successful candidates are required to have:
i. Certificate of good conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations
ii. Clearance certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board
iii. Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority
iv. Clearance from the Ethics & Anti-Corruption Commission; and
v. Report from an approved Credit Reference Bureau.
