TSC Announces 9,159 Job Vacancies; How to Apply

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced 9,159 job vacancies across primary, junior, and secondary schools in Kenya.

In a notice dated Tuesday, November 25, TSC revealed that it was seeking to recruit 7,065 primary school teachers and 12 Junior Secondary School teachers.

The Commission is also seeking to recruit 2,082 secondary school teachers.

To qualify for the job in the primary school, an applicant needs to be a Kenyan Citizen and have a P1 certificate.

Applicants seeking to be employed at JSS  and secondary schools need to have a minimum qualification of a Diploma in Education.

Applicants are also required to have registered with the Commission.

How to Apply

The application process is online, and the applicants are required to submit their applications online through the TSC website - www.tsc.go.ke - under 'Careers' or teachersonline.tsc.go.ke.

Interested job seekers were advised to submit their applications by December 8, 2025, at midnight.

Interested applicants can access the available vacancies per county or school in the TSC website.

"Merit lists generated during this recruitment for both Primary and Secondary schools will be used in subsequent recruitment processes within the financial year," read the notice in part.

"Shortlisted candidates will be required to present original academic and professional certificates.  Successful candidates must not fill out more than one Application for Employment Form. Filling out two or more Application for Employment Forms will lead to disqualification."

TSC added that applicants who have never been employed by the Commission will be given first priority.

Additionally, successful candidates will be posted to serve in any part of the country and not necessarily in the county or school where they were interviewed.
