KRA Announces 2023 Internship Vacancies For Diploma & Degree Graduates; How to Apply

KRA is inviting applications from fresh Bachelor's Degree and Diploma graduates for its January to December 2023 Internship Programme, in support of the Government's Youth Initiative to establish a pool of young talent for the Kenyan labour market.

The program's goal is to give the youth the opportunity to gain practical experience in their particular areas of expertise as part of their degree program.

Opportunities are available in the Authority's numerous Support Services departments in the following disciplines:

Eligibility Requirements for KRA Vacancies

To qualify for the internship program you:

• Must be a Kenyan citizen between the ages of 20 and 35.
• Must have graduated with a first degree (undergraduate) or diploma from a recognised institution between January 2022 and December 2022.
• Must be available full-time for the whole twelve-month program.
• Should not have had any other internships or employment experience in your field of study after graduation.

How to Register and Apply for the Vacancies

How to Register

• To begin the application procedure, go to https://erecruitment.kra.go.ke/login and click on the 'Register' option.
• Following registration, you will receive an email with instructions on how to confirm your email address and complete your registration.
• After you have registered, go to https://erecruitment.kra.go.ke/login 
• To access your account, enter your username and password, then click 'Log in.'
• The system will open the 'Applicant Cockpit' after a successful login.

How to Create or Update Your Application Details

• Navigate to the 'Candidate Profile' tab on the 'Applicant Cockpit' page.
• To create and update your profile, go to 'My Profile.'
• Complete your profile by following the instructions.
• The procedure will be completed by clicking the "Overview and Release" option.
• To finish the profile, make sure to check the box on the page.

How to Apply

• To access open job postings, go to the 'Applicant Cockpit' page and click on the 'Employment Opportunities' tab.
• To view all available vacancies, click the 'Start' button under the heading 'Job Search.'
• To view the position information, click on the Job posting.
• To apply for the position, go to the top of the page and click the 'Apply' button.
• Complete and submit your application by following the instructions.
• Please keep in mind that all required fields must be filled out.
• After considering and approving the 'Data Privacy Statement,' click the 'Send Application Now' option to finish the application process.

Application Deadline, Salary, and Points to Note

The deadline for application is Sunday, 27th November 2022.

The monthly stipend payable is Ksh15,000 and is subject to statutory deductions.

Also note: 

• All applications must be filed online using the procedure outlined above.
• Only after successfully registering on the KRA  e-recruitment platform can you apply for the opportunity.
• Incomplete applications will be rejected.
• Only those candidates who have been selected will be notified.
• After completing the Internship program, the Authority does not promise employment.
• The Internship program is not extended by the Authority.
• Candidates who are selected must provide proof of a valid Personal Accident Insurance Cover, a Certificate of Good Conduct, copies of their KRA PIN Certificate, NHIF, NSSF, ID card, and bank account details.
