With the ever-growing demand for housing in Nairobi County, many Kenyans opt to look for affordable options in neighbouring counties such as Machakos and Kajiado County.

One-Bedroom Located in Apartments

For Kenyans looking to buy one-bedroom houses, Kajiado County offers affordable rates of Ksh2 million.

The average prices in Machakos and Kiambu counties were put at Ksh4.2 million and Ksh5.4 million, respectively.

Nairobi Middle (Buruburu/Kasarani) - Ksh13.1 million

Nairobi Upper Middle (Kilimani/Kileleshwa) - Ksh21.9 million

Nairobi Upper (Runda/ Karen) - Ksh60 million

Two-Bedroom Located in Apartments

Machakos County would be suitable for those seeking the cheapest area, as the average price is Ksh6 million.

The prices in Kajiado and Kiambu were put at Ksh6.8 million and Ksh12.3 million, respectively.

Nairobi Middle (Buruburu/Kasarani) - Ksh13.4 million

Three-Bedroom Located in Apartments

Among the counties surrounding Nairobi, Machakos would be suitable for Kenyans looking for affordability given the average rate of Ksh6.9 million per house, followed by Kajiado (Ksh11.3 million) and Kiambu (Ksh15 million).

Nairobi Middle (Buruburu/Kasarani) - Ksh14.9 million

Nairobi Upper Middle (Kilimani/Kileleshwa) - Ksh26.5 million

The average price of a 4-bedroom unit in Machakos County was put at Ksh12.1 million.

Similar units in Kiambu and Kajiado Counties are priced at Ksh25.9 million and Ksh26.3 million, respectively.

In Kiambu, three-bedroom townhouses are sold at Ksh25.4 million while four-bedroom units are sold at Ksh49.4 million.
