
The Public Service Commission has announced 270 entry-level job vacancies across various ministries and state departments.
According to a notice published on May 5, PSC is seeking to recruit 66 Trade Development Officers and 24 Weights and Measures Officers for the Ministry of Trade.
At the Ministry of Cooperatives, PSC announced vacancies for 6 Cooperative Auditors, 14 Cooperative Officers, and 19 Assistant Cooperative Officers.
PSC is also recruiting 25 lecturers and 7 instructors for the Ministry of Agriculture.
At the State Department for East African Community Affairs, PSC listed 5 Regional Integration Officers and 4 Regional Economic Integration Officers.
Meanwhile, the State Department for Broadcasting has 20 Information Officer positions, 18 Public Communication Officers, and 10 Photojournalists.
PSC is also recruiting 30 Information Assistants, 15 Public Communication Assistants, and 7 Photojournalist Assistants.
Interested applicants were advised to make their applications online through the Commission website: www.publicservice.go.ke or the jobs portal: www.psckjobs.go.ke
The deadline for submitting applications is May 26, 2026, at 5 pm.
At the same time, PSC announced promotional positions across various government departments.
Some of the major recruitments being done include 21 Deputy Directors for Probation, 10 Principal Engineers for Materials under the Ministry of Roads, 17 Principal Mechanical Engineers, 36 Assistant Directors for Gender and 25 Directors for Public Communications.
Others include 21 Directors for Human Resource Management and 23 Assistant Directors for Foreign Service.
Those seeking to be promoted were also advised to make their applications through the PSC website before the May 26 deadline.
"The Public Service Commission is committed to implementing the provisions of the Constitution - Chapter 232 on fair competition and merit, representation of Kenya's diverse communities and affording equal employment opportunities to men and women, members of all ethnic groups and persons with disabilities," read the notice in part.
"Therefore, people with disabilities, the marginalised, and the minorities are encouraged to apply. It is a criminal offence to present or provide fake certificates/documents/Information. Giving false information will lead to disqualification."
