Mombasa County Announces 286 Jobs for Nurses; How to Apply 

The Mombasa County Public Service Board has announced 286 job vacancies for registered nurse positions in the Department of Health Services.

According to an external advertisement issued by the board, the successful applicants will be employed on a three-year contract under job group H.

Successful candidates will be responsible for providing a wide range of nursing services, including assessing patients, planning and implementing nursing interventions, and evaluating treatment outcomes.

The nurses will also provide healthcare services such as Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses (IMCI), immunisation, Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission (PMTCT) services, antenatal care, delivery services, health education and counselling for patients and communities.

Other responsibilities include facilitating patient admissions and discharge plans and maintaining patient health records.

To qualify for the position, applicants must possess a diploma in any of the following disciplines: nursing, community health nursing, midwifery, mental health and psychiatry

Applicants must also have a registration certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya, a valid practising licence from the Nursing Council of Kenya and a certificate in computer application skills.

Interested and qualified candidates are required to submit their applications through the recruitment portal (recruitment.mcpsb.go.ke). 

Applicants should complete the online employment application form and attach their CV, certified copies of academic certificates and transcripts, certified copies of professional certificates, and a copy of their ID.

The deadline for submitting applications is Monday, August 10, 2026.

“Please be informed that Mombasa County Public Service Board does not use agents nor charge any fee for its services,” read the notice in part.

“Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted, and they shall be required to produce originals of their ID card, academic and professional certificates and transcripts. Clearance certificate from the Commission for University Education (for holders of degrees from foreign Universities) and any other relevant documents during interviews.
