The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has raised concern over thousands of motor vehicle ownership transfer applications that remain pending on the NTSA service portal because buyers have failed to confirm the transactions initiated by sellers.
In a notice dated Tuesday, October 13, NTSA explained that although sellers had successfully initiated the transfer process, buyers had not logged into their accounts to accept or decline the requests.
Until the buyer gives consent, the transfer cannot be completed, meaning the seller remains the vehicle's legal owner.
The authority has urged buyers with pending applications to log into their NTSA accounts and complete the process without delay.
