ICT Authority Announces 400 Internships; How to Apply

The ICT Authority has announced 400 paid internship opportunities under the Presidential Digital Talent Program (PDTP) for the 2026/2027 intake.

The 12-month programme will provide training, mentorship and placement opportunities across Kenya’s 47 counties. Applications opened on August 18, 2026, and will close at midnight on September 7, 2026.

The 400 positions are distributed across five areas: Network & Digital Infrastructure (150), Software Development & AI (100), Information Security (50), Data Analytics (50), and Multimedia (Graphic Design) & Digital Marketing (50).

Application Requirements

Applicants must be unemployed Kenyan youth aged 21 to 29 years and must have graduated from a recognised institution within the last two years, from January 2024.

Applicants must have attained First Class or Second Class Honours, Upper Division, or an equivalent qualification.

The programme targets recent graduates in BSc. ICT and engineering disciplines including Electrical and Electronics, Telecommunications, Systems/Software and Security. Applicants must also demonstrate technical competencies in their area of specialisation before the interview.

Those awaiting graduation by December 2026 may apply if they provide a university recommendation or reference letter confirming the First Class or Upper Second-Class qualification they are expected to receive.

Applicants must not have previously participated in any government internship programme.

How to Apply

Interested applicants must complete and submit their applications online through the DigiTalent Recruitment Portal.

Applicants should register an account, complete the application form and upload copies of their National ID or passport, KCSE certificate, degree certificate or university recommendation letter, and passport-size photograph.

Applicants with foreign university qualifications must attach Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA)  verification certificates, while those with GPA-based qualifications must provide the corresponding Kenyan public university GPA equivalent.
